VW Volkswagen ME7.X ECU Engine Control Module Clone Programming Service ClusterFix Texas

VW Volkswagen ME7.X ECU Engine Control Module Clone Programming Service

$165.99 USD

If your Volkswagen is experiencing ECM failure, no-start conditions, or communication issues caused by a faulty engine control module, replacing the ECM alone is not enough. On many Volkswagen models, the ECM stores immobilizer and VIN-specific data that prevents a direct swap. Installing a used or replacement ECM without proper data transfer will result in immobilizer lockout or a vehicle that will not start.

This service provides ECM clone programming for Volkswagen vehicles equipped with Bosch ME7.1, ME7.1.1, and ME7.5 engine control modules. We transfer all critical vehicle-specific data from your original ECM to a replacement unit so the vehicle recognizes it as the original module.

What This Volkswagen ECM Cloning Service Does

We clone the internal data from your original ECM onto a donor or replacement ECM supplied by you. This includes immobilizer data, VIN information, and calibration data required for the vehicle to start and run properly. Once cloning is complete, the replacement ECM functions exactly like the original without requiring dealership programming or immobilizer adaptation.

This service is ideal when the original ECM is failing electrically, damaged by water, or no longer communicating properly but can still be read for data extraction.

Texas-Based Service With Nationwide Mail-In Support

We are located in Texas and provide ECM clone programming for customers throughout Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, and across Central Texas. This is also a nationwide mail-in service for customers outside Texas.

How the Process Works

Purchase the ECM clone programming service and remove your ECM from the vehicle. If you are providing a donor ECM for cloning, include a matching part number replacement module in the shipment. If you do not have a donor ECM, we can assist in sourcing one for an additional fee.

Include a printed note with the following information:

  • First and last name

  • Contact phone number

  • Return shipping address

  • Vehicle year, model, and VIN

Package the ECM securely in a padded box and ship it to:

ClusterFix Texas
16044 N HWY 123
San Marcos, TX 78666

After shipping, send tracking information to info@clusterfixtexas.com or text (512) 792-1717.

What to Expect After Cloning

Once the ECM is cloned and returned, installation is straightforward. The vehicle will recognize the replacement ECM as the original module, allowing the engine to start and run normally without immobilizer issues. No dealer programming or VIN adaptation is required.

FAQ

Do I need a matching donor ECM?
Yes. The donor ECM must have a matching part number. If you do not have one, we can help source it for an additional fee.

Will this fix a no-start condition?
If the no-start is caused by ECM failure or immobilizer mismatch, cloning resolves the issue by transferring all immobilizer and VIN data.

Is dealer programming required after installation?
No. Once cloned, the ECM is plug-and-play.

Do you service customers outside Texas?
Yes. This is a nationwide mail-in service, though we are based in Texas.

What if my part number is not listed?
Contact us with your ECM part number and we will verify compatibility.
