SKIM DELETE REMOVAL SERVICE For 96-06 Chrysler Jeep Dodge ECU ECM PCM COMPUTER
This SKIM delete removal service is designed for 1996–2006 Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge vehicles equipped with the Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). If immobilizer authorization has failed or key programming is no longer possible, this service removes the SKIM function from the ECU/PCM, allowing the vehicle to operate without immobilizer interference.
This service modifies the ECU internally so that the engine can run without SKIM authentication.
What This SKIM Delete Service Does
We disable the SKIM immobilizer logic inside your ECU, ECM, or PCM. Once completed, the module will no longer require communication with the SKIM module or chipped key to allow engine operation.
This service is commonly used when replacing an ECU, when SKIM modules fail, or when key reprogramming is no longer possible.
Important Service Requirements
For this service to work correctly, the following requirements must be met:
-
Your ECU must match the supported units and reference photos
-
The SKIM module in the steering column must be disconnected before reinstalling the ECU
-
Some vehicles may require additional wiring or configuration changes
-
This service does not repair PCI bus failures or wiring issues
If these conditions are not met, immobilizer-related symptoms may persist.

Important Notes and Known Conditions
Some vehicles may store fault code P0633 after the SKIM delete. This code cannot be erased but does not affect performance or drivability, per Chrysler Service Bulletin #08-030-06 REV A.
A PCI bus failure can mimic SKIM-related symptoms and may still cause electrical issues after the SKIM delete. These issues may include loss of power windows, air conditioning, or instrument cluster operation. Cherokee and Grand Cherokee models are particularly prone to PCI bus failures.
This service does not repair PCI bus faults or vehicle wiring issues.
