Volkswagen Immobilizer Delete / IMMO Off Service | Golf, Jetta, Cabrio, Beetle (1999-2002)
This immobilizer delete (IMMO OFF) service is designed for 1999–2002 Volkswagen Golf, Jetta, Beetle, and Cabrio models equipped with Bosch M3.8 or M5.9 ECUs. If your vehicle starts and then immediately shuts down due to an immobilizer fault, this service disables the immobilizer function inside the ECU, allowing the engine to run without immobilizer interference.
This service is commonly used when immobilizer synchronization has failed, keys are no longer recognized, or when replacing an ECU where immobilizer pairing is no longer possible.
What This IMMO Off Service Does
We modify the internal ECU software to bypass the immobilizer system. Once completed, the ECU will no longer require immobilizer authorization from the instrument cluster or key transponder in order to keep the engine running.
After installation, the vehicle will start and continue running normally without immobilizer-related shutdowns.
Important Service Requirements
For this service to work correctly, the following conditions must be met:
-
The vehicle must start and then shut down due to an immobilizer fault
-
This service will not fix a no-start condition where the engine does not crank or fire at all
-
The immobilizer warning light may remain illuminated after the service
-
All diagnostic trouble codes should be cleared before or after installation
If your vehicle does not meet these conditions, contact us with your ECU part number before shipping.
