This Immobilizer OFF (IMMO OFF) service is designed for Volkswagen and select Audi vehicles equipped with MED9.X / MED9.1 ECUs. The service disables the factory immobilizer system inside the ECU, allowing the engine to run without immobilizer authorization. This is an ideal solution for vehicles experiencing immobilizer-related start-and-stall issues or when installing a used or replacement ECU.

This is a service-only listing. No ECU or vehicle parts are included.

How the Service Works

  1. Ship your MED9.X ECU to us.

  2. We modify the ECU software to disable the immobilizer system.

  3. Your ECU is returned ready to run, with no immobilizer authorization required.

Important Notes

  • This service is intended for vehicles that start and then shut down due to immobilizer activation.

  • Not recommended for vehicles that do not crank or do not start at all for non‑immobilizer reasons.

  • After IMMO OFF, the immobilizer warning light may remain illuminated on the dashboard.

  • This service does not repair hardware damage (water damage, burnt components, no communication ECUs).

What does Immobilizer OFF do?

Will my car still start with my existing keys?
Yes. The engine will start normally, but the immobilizer system will no longer be active.

Will the immobilizer light stay on?
In some cases, yes. This is normal after IMMO OFF and does not affect drivability.
